Keith R.A. DeCandido Live Interview at Dragon*Con

September 2nd, 2009

The lovely Keith DeCandido

Reality Break will be at Dragon*Con this Labor Day weekend. Again this year, we have a slot on the podcasting track to record an episode live in front of an audience. That will be Sunday at 10 PM, and the scheduled guest is author Keith RA DeCandido. Keith is the current author of the Farscape series of comics from BOOM! Studios. He has written novels in the Buffy universe and the novelization of the Serenity film. Keith is also a long time member of SF fandom, having been involved for almost two decades with the program The Chronic Rift as a cable access show and as a podcast (much like present program’s journey from radio to podcast).

Please come and be a part of the taping of the episode. There will be questions taken from the floor and possibly dancing. I guarantee it will be a good time for all!

Reality Break Podcast Episode 8 – William Shunn

June 1st, 2009

William Shunn

Our guest this episode is author William Shunn. This interview was recorded in 2007 but is newly relevant as he is once again podcasting his unpublished memoir The Accidental Terrorist. As a science fiction writer, his 2006 novella “Inclination” was nominated for both the Hugo and Nebula awards. Later this year his collaboration with author Derryl Murphy, the novella Cast a Cold Eye will be published by PS Publishing.

Quote from the show: “My newest story is set aboard a space station. For some reason I can’t explain, I seem to be setting a lot of my stories on space stations lately.”

You can listen to the episode here, in the flash player below or you can subscribe in iTunes or directly via RSS and get every episode. If you’d like to discuss this episode, you can talk about it in the Reality Break forum.

Thanks for listening!
